The braking mechanism that limits the speed of the wind turbine broke during a storm in Denmark. This was the outcome. 02/22-2008. jp.dk Bonus info: -The tower of the mill was 60m high -Wind speed was probably around 30 m/s -You can see a truck at the base of the mill, but nobody was hurt. The mill had been evacuated 400m in each direction. Vote Elgaard-Collins ’08!!

You know how a auto-transmission works? Install them in one of these.. The higher the wind, the higher the gear, and less RPMut on the blades.

@ooofest there is no fallout, its just an electric motor being spun by a blade, nothing dangerous except for something like this happening
This seems more like a planned destructive TESTING rather than an operational turbine failing. I comment on this as I am a certified Installer of Wind Turbines and understand them well enough.
How about a nano energy harness that takes energy at a quantum level from the surrounding space. It is possible in physics that this could be achievable in the next few decades/centuries
Then we do not need fusion or any other renewable energy. Just take it from the surrounding space!

I would actually agree with that, despite wanting high density and cleaner fuels.
We now have ‘green’ paints, green glues, green greens. So long as it has ‘green’ stamped on it, people seem to buy into it, regardless of whether or not it’s a.) shite b.) massively overpriced.
We need to dump all our cash into fusion, get that sorted and be done with this wank.
